When You Reach Me by Rebecca Stead

This book was suggested by Kathy S. This is another recap of our discussion.
Quick read. The story's line keeps the reader moving forward. Miranda's realizations about herself and how she acts towards others (how she judges a person w/o knowing them) is something that is important to teach. Through reading this book a young adult can see how Miranda deals with the withdrawal of her best friend (by getting new friends); the relationship with her mother (both with the boyfriend and with herself); and the realization that she can be that 'nice person' to others.
What to like about the book: Good characters, time travel is cool, Mysteries are cool, Time travel + mystery = fun times, It's a quick, entertaining read
The point of forgiveness and moving on. How girls can be so mean to each other at a young age.
