"Written by Dalton Trumbo in 1939. It is a very disturbing and sad story about a soldier. Trumbo presents the reader with a different viewpoint of war from one soldier's experience. I can't really say too much about the plot because it would give too much away. I highly recommend it though if you are interested in historical drama."
